I prefer to use it because I don't currently own a desktop computer and trust wallet is accessible through mobile device. And since I began researching the best wallets online, trust wallet has consistently been listed and is easy for beginners to use. Also, it is a non-custodial wallet, there is no need for any verification, so I am confident that I will have complete control over my private key and my assets that is why I'm using it.
Honestly, I don't trust the trust wallet, even though it is non-custodial wallet. Why?
Because their open source code is not updated on their github, no security audit or anything that we know they didn't add any script or things that can monitor our wallet. That's why I prefer to don't use them or if there's no other option, only use it with a small amount because we do not know maybe they have a seed database where all of our backup wallets are recorded on the clouds.
So even if you have full control of your private keys and assets, how can you be sure of the safety of your wallet without full open-source code?
We know that Binance owns this wallet which most trusted exchange, but how long will their wallet be safe? maybe after we die 100yrs ago? Then they are slowly opening those wallets after 100 years and checking for balance?
So there's no assurance how safe of is to use a trust wallet for a long period of time unless the crypto you want to store doesn't support other wallets.
