I prefer to use it because I don't currently own a desktop computer and trust wallet is accessible through mobile device. And since I began researching the best wallets online, trust wallet has consistently been listed and is easy for beginners to use. Also, it is a non-custodial wallet, there is no need for any verification, so I am confident that I will have complete control over my private key and my assets that is why I'm using it.
Honestly, I don't trust the trust wallet, even though it is non-custodial wallet. Why?
Because their open source code is not updated on their github, no security audit or anything that we know they didn't add any script or things that can monitor our wallet. That's why I prefer to don't use them or if there's no other option, only use it with a small amount because we do not know maybe they have a seed database where all of our backup wallets are recorded on the clouds.

So even if you have full control of your private keys and assets, how can you be sure of the safety of your wallet without full open-source code?
We know that Binance owns this wallet which most trusted exchange, but how long will their wallet be safe? maybe after we die 100yrs ago? Then they are slowly opening those wallets after 100 years and checking for balance?
So there's no assurance how safe of is to use a trust wallet for a long period of time unless the crypto you want to store doesn't support other wallets.

Trust Wallet is truly the best wallet. This wallet is very secure as well as very satisfying to use. For 12 word secret phases recovery systems I don't think it's likely to be hacked, I've never been disappointed or had any trouble using it.

It is the best wallet if you do not know about other options like unstoppable. But I guess you have heard about more better wallets than the trust wallet. I don't remember having issues with the trust wallet. Probably, I would trust another closed-source wallet, but I would hesitate to trust the "Trust wallet."

The reason is so simple. If a wallet is a closed source from the beginning, I use it knowing this fact. Then it is okay. But if a wallet used to be open source and then suddenly becomes closed source, I doubt about their work. What could be the reason of certain change? What if they have some kind of bad intentions?

I have heard some negative news about trust wallet before, today I am surprised to see your post again that they have moved from open source to closed source. Although it happened a long time ago, I first learned about it today. I still thought that trust toilet open source contains this. I saw in many places that these changes came after buying Binance Trust Wallet.

Although I saw in many places they have shifted from open source to closed source for security so that hackers can't easily find vulnerabilities. However, to me these seem illogical as a reasons. And the most important thing is that where we are looking for a decentralized wallet, everything should be public, so it will be better to use all the wallets that are open sourced.

Unstoppable wallet is great but it doesn't support as much coins as Trust wallet and we don't have much options too for choosing open sourced multi crypto wallet.

Trust wallet is acquired by Binance and from that moment it's assumed to become closed source, ofcourse we should not trust a close source wallet for storing our crypto assets but still to recieve bounty hunting rewards it's good option though.

You have a good point. At least, it is better to use a closed-source wallet than using a centralized exchange. Why do we care too much about closed-source wallet software when people don't even care when they store their crypto on centralized exchanges? Actually, it depends on people and the purpose. If I have no other options, I will be forced to use the Trust wallet, and if it's a closed-source wallet, I have to be OK with that, and I have to remember that it's a closed-source wallet app.

That is not a bad option if someone wants to use a Trust wallet to receive bounty rewards and airdrops. Trust Wallet allows users to add tokens using a smart contract, if I am not wrong, which is a great option for airdrop hunters.

If someone wants to hold a large fund then there are many more open source wallets available which I think would be better for them to use than trust wallets. And obviously, they can store their funds in cold wallet if they want.
But when it comes to bounty hunters or air drop hunters, if we see that most of these users are mobile phone users and for those who use mobile phones, trust wallet is easy to access and easy to learn, I mean they can easily understand the user interface of trust wallet. As I also accept that trust wallet app have user friendly UI and also have good features for the bounty and air drop hunters.

It also shows that community support and development for altcoins is not that much, for some altcoins there are wallets like Electrum for example LTC but for tokens and native coins even Dev's are not interested in developing their project anymore, they all just focus on the price and that's it.

For a project to last long after the initial bump the development is very important so any new projects should not only focus on the listing on exchanges, they also has to concentrate on other things too.

i've been using Trust Wallet since first appeared because i like the UI & UX and until now i haven't encountered any problems, there haven't been any bugs, the developers are very good at improving the performance of their applications.
I don't remember when I started using Trust Wallet, but I remember uninstalling Trust Wallet since I noticed that there were hundreds of fake Trust Wallets. You can still see some fake Trust Wallet apps on the internet and scammers often try to lure users to download those fake apps. I still see some people pretend to be a new trust wallet users and they post their seed phrases on facebook groups and ask people to help them. I don't know how the hell they trick people. But they hack people like how I described.

There are lots of scams happening with these wallets! Not just with TrustWallet, but also with Coinbase and certain exchanges, etc. I vaguely remember one time I got an email from Trust Wallet (not the real one) asking me to provide my email and password for my wallet, claiming that someone tried to access it or hack it or that they changed their terms and conditions, can't remember what it actually said. How the fcuk they knew my email! Tbh, I was a little confused then because, afaik, wallets don't require any credentials, you just paste your seed and import your wallet! LOL, stupid scammers!

These scammers collect emails from dark web forums where the hackers sell large files of crypto users' emails. Let's sayou signed up on a website using your email. Either some hacker hacked their database and collected all the user's details, including emails, which they sold later on the dark web market, or the website owner decided to sell user information online.

A similar thing happened with one of the reputed casinos, Betnomi. They had some ownership problems and one part decided to collect all the user information from the database and use it to send emails to the customers. Betnomi representative admitted that on the Bitcointalk forum.

Yeah I noticed that too. Previously all of my email, password were the same, except for some sites like bitcointalk, altcoinstalk, DEX. Since it's easy to remember i set it like that. Later I found out my password list was in a data breach. Whenever I logged in my Gmail or social media account through a browser, it would show me a warning saying this password was found in a data breach. Later I had to reset everything, and make unique password for each sites.

I guess most people made that mistake in the past, and still, a lot of people use the same email and password for multiple websites. I often receive emails in my old email address that someone tried to access one of my casino accounts. Sometimes I get password reset emails as well. But I don't care anymore.

I almost abandoned all of them and started using new emails. I use some old accounts, but I have changed the passwords. I recently saw a report about selling people's identity, which was done by the ex-prime minister's son Joy. I don't know what to say. No one is safe.

I'm guessing my old password is still lying around somewhere in the darkweb or on some other scammers PCs. Anything online isn't safe anymore! Even 3-4 days ago, someone tried to access my Gmail using the old pass. Good thing Google marked it as suspicion and blocked the access. Terrifying...

We should always use separate mail pass!

Already our NID database was leaked several times! What more can we ask for? Scammers literally can use our identity, fingerprints, our personal information, or retinal scans, all are in the open! These days I even see some telegram bots that you use to get a person's personal information. Some sellers are selling these for a certain price. You just have to give them one or two pieces of information, and they'll get you everything.  Just look at the image below!

Transaction fee is not determined by the wallet software you are using, it has to do with the network you are using, i.e. if the mempool is congested in the BTC network, tx fees will go up. You can only customize the fees you are going to pay in certain wallets. I don't use trust wallet because it is a closed source wallet.

Which network are you referring to though? Last time I used them their automatic fee calculation for Bitcoin is off the chart, hence why I need to customize it whenever I want to make transactions. Not to mention they don't support RBF iirc so it's a hassle to manage if you need that feature for whatever reason. I remember paying cheaper fees but got unlucky with network conditions when I wanted to pay for some stuff, so I needed to make CPFP with another wallet.
